Joyce Wilcox Graff is the President of Powerful Patient Inc., a patient advocacy practice based in Brookline, Massachusetts.  She retired in 2002 from a 25-year career in high tech, where she was one of the pioneers of email for business use, to work full-time for the non-profit she founded in 1993, the VHL Alliance.  She is a past Director of the National Braille Association (NBA), the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD), the International Kidney Cancer Coalition (IKCC), and was Executive Director of the New England Regional Genetics Group (NERGG).  She served as consumer advocate for the Kidney Cancer Program of the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center for 13 years, retiring from that position to undertake the District Governorship. 
 
Joyce is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, and Past President of the Brookline Massachusetts Rotary Club, where she has been a member since 2011. She has served as the Polio-Plus Chairman for District 7910, and as a Trustee of the District.  She is a member of the Rotary Travel and Hosting Fellowship, the Fellowship of Rotarian Quilters, and the Fellowship of Rotarian Genealogists.
