Pooja Singla

District 7930

Passionate about giving back to community, Pooja joined Burlington Breakfast Rotary Club (BBRC) in 2018.  Pooja served as the President of BBRC (2019-2020) and continues to be on Board of Directors of the Club.
 
She also chaired the Technology, Public Image and Marketing committee of the Club. As a BBRC Club member, Pooja coordinated and participated in community projects such as helping Food Pantry in Burlington, packaging meals for Rise Against Hunger in collaboration with District 7910, Wish Tree, Ataxia Walk, Mental Health Awareness, Tech Help for Seniors, distributing PPE in the community and Town offices during Covid and more.  She and her Rotary Club have been recognized for a Rotary Citation for the work completed during her Presidency year in 2019-2020.
 
Pooja served as an Assistant Governor in District 7930 from 2021-2024. She served as Co-Chair of the District’s Membership Committee and Co-Chair of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion & Belonging (DEI) Committee. She is also a member of the District’s Public Image and Technology Committee. 
Pooja is a Charter member of the District’s Polio Plus Society.
 
Outside of her Rotary engagements, she is involved with Burlington Board of Health (BOH). She is the Chair person of BOH BVRC/MRC Executive Committee and Chair of the Volunteer Training Committee. Pooja volunteers with the Indian Community in the area and is a co-editor of the IAB e-Magazine.
 
Pooja Singla is a Management Consultant since 2017 helping Non-Profit organizations thrive in Metro Boston area.  She Chairs the Technology Committee and is a member of the Marketing Committee at her management organization. In addition to her projects, she also trains the consultants for their technology needs, and helps with their onboarding.
 

Pooja enjoyed being the Owner and CEO of Medical Billing Services, LLC (2006-2012), providing billing services to the practicing physicians.  She also worked as a programmer/ Analyst in R&D for Medic Computer Systems (now Allscripts), Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska, First National Bank, and DPN, Inc.  She administered the main campus Testing Center at the university of Toledo, Ohio.  She was an integral part of chartering the Teach4Detroit, a nonprofit education organization for the underprivileged students.

Pooja is also a published author of 4 papers on telemedicine research in collaboration with MIT and the department of Neurology at Mass General Hospital.

Pooja holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, a Master of Arts (MA in English) and a degree in Computer Science.

She enjoys learning about the current trends in technology. She loves to spend time with her family and likes to travel.  She has been married to Ajay with 2 sons Ankit and Nirmish and has one grandson, Devan.

She feels honored to be elected as the District Governor of the Rotary International District 7930 for the Rotary year 2025-2026.  She is looking forward to serving her District in this capacity to the best of her ability and making a difference!
